Mali is a landlocked country with a total area of 1,241,238 km2. It is located in West Africa and bordered by 7 countries (Mauritania, Algeria, Niger, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea and Senegal).
Mali has a tropical climate, characterized by an alternating dry and rainy season. Maximum temperatures exceed 42°C in May and the lowest temperatures are around 13°C in January. The country has 4 main climatic zones (sub-Saharan and Saharan zone, Sahelian zone, Sudanian zone, Sudano-Guinean zone).
Taxis are the most common means of transportation within Bamako, with fares negotiated with the driver.

A Visa is required to enter Mali for most foreign nationals, with the exception of those from
